Cuesports Singapore

Cuesports Singapore (CS) is the national governing body for billiards, snooker, pool, and carom in Singapore. Recognised by the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) and Sport Singapore (SportSG), we are responsible for developing, promoting, and regulating cuesports at all levels — from grassroots participation to elite international competition.

Our history dates back to the colonial era, when cue sports were first introduced to Singapore’s social clubs. The organisation was officially registered as the Singapore Billiards & Snooker Council with the Registry of Societies on 27 July 1965, marking the start of formal governance for the sport. In line with the sport’s growth and diversification, the Council was then renamed Cuesports Singapore on 11 August 2004 to better represent the full spectrum of cue disciplines.

Today, Cuesports Singapore continues to build on its proud legacy. We oversee national tournaments, athlete development, coaching and referee certification, and community outreach programmes designed to grow the sport sustainably.

Our initiatives include a new Cuesports Singapore Academy at Tanjong Katong Road — a dedicated training and development hub for national athletes and youth players — as well as the CueKids and Centres of Excellence (COE) programmes, which nurture and inspire young talent across the nation.

Internationally, we represent Singapore in global and regional bodies such as the World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA), World Billiards Limited (WBL), and the Asian Confederation of Billiard Sports (ACBS), ensuring that our athletes compete with professionalism, integrity, and pride on the world stage.

As the sport continues to evolve, Cuesports Singapore remains committed to fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable cuesports community — one that unites players, coaches, officials, and fans through shared passion and excellence.
